With match announcements heating up and OCW’s Tag Team Tournament only a week away, it’s time to announce the third team in it: the Chicos de Lucha.
Not only are they making a bid for the double silver but they will also be making their OCW debut on 30th January as perhaps the most unorthodox team in the competition.
Not much is known of the masked pair who go by the names Lucha 1 and Lucha 2 other than they’ve come all the way from their native Mexico to be crowned OCW’s inaugural tag champs. The masked warriors should make an interesting addition to a tournament already featuring the hard-hitting and oftentimes hardcore style of the Loose Bastards and the formidable but untested gravitas of the Arm Dragons. From the little information OCW has garnered of Chicos de Lucha, they’ve wrestled all over Mexico using underhanded tactics to trickily capture a host of victories. Next Friday, they’ll be looking to make good on their international reputation.
The Loose Bastards and the Arm Dragons are no strangers to doing whatever it takes to win, either, so the Chicos will be right at home in the fight for championship silver. In a week that sees us celebrate our country, I dare say our Aussie teams will do everything in their power to make sure the belts aren’t squirreled away to Mexico.
