Brodus Clay started off the festivities by bringing some children from the crowd into the ring to dance. His opponent for the night, Maddog, joined him in the ring. Brodus asked Maddog to dance before turning on Maddog, the kids and the rest of the fans, saying Brodus was his slave name and he shall henceforth be known as Tyrus.
Jake Navara VS. Alexi Papadopoulos--Papadopoulos.
The first match of the night saw the returning Alexi Papadopoulos take on Jake Navara, who demonstrated an impressive level of athleticism. JXT crashed the party, attacking Papadopoulos and causing his DQ victory. After the match, JXT hit Navara with the double leg-hook facebuster and asserted that Papadopoulos was on the verge of beating Navara and he wasn’t going to let that happen.
Kellyanne VS. Harley Wonderland VS. Vixsin--Kellyanne.
An auburn hair alliance was formed between Kellyanne and Harley Wonderland, making her second appearance in OCW. There were false finishes and near-falls a plenty in this fast-paced match, with Kellyanne ultimately picking up a questionable 1,2,3 on Wonderland under the ropes.
Slade Mercer & Gabriel Wolfe VS. Chicos de Lucha--Slade & Wolfe.
The Luchas were no match for an enraged Slade and Wolfe, who put them away in only a few minutes. After the match, Mercer got on the mic, livid that at last month’s supershow the wrong man in their team was pinned by the Loose Bastards, costing them their shot at the tag team championships.
Micky Jackson VS. Chris Tayven--Jackson.
Jackson was finally able to pick up a win over another returning OCW Original, Chris Tayven, but it was secured using dirty tactics: a low blow from Jackson.
Jacko Lantern VS. Sketch--Lantern.
Jacko Lantern surprised Micky Jackson yet again after his match, which led into Jacko’s contest with the debuting Sketch. Sketch didn’t disappoint, launching into a springboard moonsault off the top rope but the recipient wasn't there, resulting in the #bumpofthenight and Sketch's loss.
Tag Team Championship Match: The Loose Bastards VS. Cadman & Cletus (with Vixsin)--Loose Bastards.
Cletus addressed the crowd before the match, acknowledging that he and Cadman haven’t been seeing eye to eye lately but they’re attempting to change that with a championship victory. KrackerJak responded, delegating the high flying to his partner Adam Brooks, while he’s sure he can match Cadman’s power.
Cadman and Cletus certainly put in a team effort, with Cadman making his big boot look like an effortless reflex while KrackerJak’s Spinal Tap was countered into a DDT by Cletus and Cadman’s chokeslam into a bulldog by Brooks. It was not to be, though, as the Loose Bastards retained in yet another successful title defence.
In the ring after the match, Cadman pushed Vixsin and delivered a devastating powerbomb to his (former?) tag team partner, Cletus, leaving him lying in the ring.
Handicap Match: Brodie Marshall VS. Zac Douglas & Cody Swift--Marshall.
Marshall was visibly at no handicap in this match as the crowd audibly counted how many seconds—32—it would take for the South Australian newcomer decimate Zac and Cody.
Matt “Grimm” Basso VS. Syd Parker--Grimm.
There was an interesting dynamic between these two men, who traded chops and kicks back and forth. Syd’s backflip off the top rope and onto Grimm on the outside, along with many other impressive moves, earned this match coveted “This is awesome” chants. A big boot from Grimm knocked Syd’s block off and allowed him to secure the victory.
JXT (with Kellyanne) VS. F.O.X.--JXT.
An interesting pairing between JXT and Kellyanne has emerged, with Kelly cheering JXT on from the outside. After JXT hit his double leg-hook facebuster that took Navara by surprise earlier in the night it was over for F.O.X.
Not to be outdone, it was Navara’s turn to ambush JXT after the match, sending he and Kellyanne packing through the crowd.
Lumberjack Match: Andy Phoenix VS. Brad Smyth.
This match was not to be, as Phoenix took the loss of the OCW Heavyweight Championship last month out on Smyth’s girlfriend, Gemma, who happened to be at ringside. Andy manhandled her, asserting that’s what it’s like to be with a real man. His lumberjack henchmen—Slade, Wolfe, Jackson and Grimm—prevented Smyth from getting to Gemma and cheered Phoenix on as he decimated Smyth in the middle of the ring.
No. 1 Contendership Match: Maddog VS. Tyrus--no contest.
Despite Tyrus injuring him earlier in the night, Maddog showed up to defend the prize he defeated thirteen other people to capture last month with a taped—literally, employing the use of gaffa tape—shoulder. The intensity was high in this match up; apparently too high for Tyrus, who walked out on the match, espousing that he didn’t need to prove he was worthy of the championship. Maddog got on the mic, saying that he would never walk out on a match and that he has the chops to go pound for pound with the wrestler formerly known as the Funkasaurus.
Jake Navara VS. Alexi Papadopoulos--Papadopoulos.
The first match of the night saw the returning Alexi Papadopoulos take on Jake Navara, who demonstrated an impressive level of athleticism.
